When i bought landmine, the first thing that happened was that the head popped off. Then i transformed it but whenever i try to transform back, the back wheels get in the way and i can't fold up the legs, that picture they show up there , i think there is a pose much better than that weird pose. My only real complaint are the head and both bumpers. The bumpers popped off so many times that i normally play without them. The head works great for pretending it's bonecrusher, (which i also have) . Overall, this is a good toy. Just need to watch out with those legs!!!

Landmine is a really easy to transform (compared to bumblebee and some of the others). The only difficult part is getting the arms to extend to swing the hood in place as the chest plate. It's also a little tricky getting the doors back in place by pivoting them first into the wheel well area of the front wheel well. [...] so it was well worth it.

I bought this one because of the original look. Alot of the new movie toys are hideous, this is one of the which caught my eye. It certainly dosen't dissapoint there, the car mode is incredibley detailed, working shocks, little american flags and number/letters painted on, pannels gallore, and a swivel rooftop machine gun make the car mode worth the price. Robot mode is almost as nice, the head is very unique and has some sort of bumper face gaurd going on. the color scheme is great, and it is very posable. However, like most in the new movie line, it has issues gallore. The head was already popped off before I even took it out of the box, and continues to pop off regularly. The car mode has bumpers on the front and back, though they add nice detail to the car mode, they come off regularly also. The transformation is fairly easy, but it seems tight in spots, and the arms need to be fought with to fit into place in car mode. Nice looking figure if you can get past the fagile build.

I have two requirements when purchasing a transformer; it must a) look cool in robot mode and b) look cool in its alternate mode. Landmine fits the bill nicely in both respects. In his alternate mode, the tires actually have independent spring suspension, which is cool, and if you take the time while transforming him, you can manage to get his hands to look like seats, which is nice.

In Robot mode, he's really posable, with the possible exception of his arms; they kind of bend in strange places, limiting what you can do with them to a certain degree.

My only real complaint with Landmine is his head. All the new Transformers use ball joints that pop out under stress, and for the most part this is fine. When arms pop off, you can just snap them back in, and its better than having some hinge break. But in the case of Landmine, it seems like his head comes off all the time. In the process of transforming him from one mode to the other, his head probably pops off 3 or 4 times. And if you're transforming him into his alternate mode, that means you have to partially transform him back to his robot mode to snap it back on. It might just be the one I got, and its really no trouble to just snap his head back on. All in all a worthy addition to my collection.

Megatron is a towering, bulky, dinosaur-footed monstrosity with a varied color scheme noticeably different than that of the movie version. Megatrons jet mode looks a little bit like one of Leonardo da Vincis flying machines. His robot mode, bearing a slightly simplified version of the movie Megatrons intricate armor plating, is reasonably well articulated. Among Megatrons arsenal of gimmick features are electronic sounds and lights, a launching claw that becomes a chain whip, and arms that combine to form a fusion cannon. Initially Megatron was Cybertrons designated Lord High Protector, although eventually he succumbed to his consuming lust for the all spark. Megatrons agenda placed him in opposition of Optimus Prime forcing the latter to rally a militia against Megatrons Deceptions. Megatron was single-minded and monstrously powerful; the Deceptions gained ground against their adversaries, and as a desperate contingency the all spark was jettisoned into space. Megatrons attempt to find the all spark ultimately divided him from his forces and led him into frounceen stasis.

"Megatron isn't so bad" 2009-07-19

First of all, I got this last Christmas, however I didn't create a review.

The toy isn't so bad, however I did accidentally ripped the chain whip off, so that means it isn't so sturdy. I had to tape it back several times, however it's fine now. Some people complained about the Fusion Cannon, and I agree with that; the Fusion Cannon can't stay in position unless you hold it. The legs aren't strong enough to support the body sometimes (because of all the weight on the back) however I figured out a way for it to stand: you turn the legs forward at the top until you hear a little noise, and then it could stand. The sound effect is cool.

In vehicle mode, the arms are loose, and it does get annoying, so I push it back every few seconds. The tail usually doesn't turn in jet mode. The face is pretty visible, so that's a flaw along with those legs that make it seem more like an alien invading Earth. The horn is a nice addition, but why would a jet have a "horn" sound? The jet mode overall is pretty awesome, but it does have some major flaws.

The box does cheat on you. From the picture on the back, it's a shiny silver, but it's just a dull gray. This also happened on Revenge of the Fallen Leader Megatron. Another cheat is the head. On the box, the head is different from the actual head. I would rather have the head on the box.

Overall, Megatron isn't so bad, however it does have a few flaws.

"Dissapointing" 2008-04-01

This toy is disapointing.

First of all, this toy looks very little like the Megatron that was in the movie. It is stubby and stocky and presents none of the lethal intent the movie character does. The vehicle mode only slightly looks like the vehicle from the movie, and the transformation is much harder than it should be considering the results.

In robot mode this toy is hard to pose and unstable when standing. The feet do not support the toy except in a very narrow range of poses. The toys hands are useless and do not even look like hands, they cannot hold any of the other toys weapons or anything else. The "Chain whip" is kind of neat, and a nice nod to the original Transformer's cartoon character, but was not featured in the movie. His hand supposedly combine to form a "Fusion Cannon" but it looks nothing like the movie version. Also, the gun doesn't stay open without holding it open. The arms have a lot of kibble in the form of the "nose" of the plane, which serves no purpose in robot mode. The lights and sound gimmick it only OK. The Scream kind of make sense for this toy, but the yellow lights do not (blue lights for the ice, maybe?). The lights and sound gimmick add weight and bulk to what should be a fairly thin figure.

In Vehicle mode, the legs fold under the wings, making them look blocked up instead of like wings. Also the "tail" of the aircraft doesn't really lock into place and can flop around if touched. If the tail flops it tends to knock the legs free from their pegs on the wings. The wings are meant to unfold automatically, but this never fully worked on my toy. They unfold, but never fully without me having to push them down until the gear locks (there is a visible white gear on the wing hinges). Also the head is completely visible while in vehicle mode. The arms form the front of the plane, but again do not lock together well and come apart easily.

All in all this toy suffers from a lot of the same problems many other movie transformer toys suffer from. The character was designed for the movie first with no thought to how the toy would work, and the toy suffered from it.

My son is only 5 but he's dying to get his hands on this toy. He doesn't want to convert it to a plane, he just wants to get Bumblebee and Optimus Prime together to kick his butt!!! It's over-priced sure, but for the 30 minutes my son will take to destroy it....why the heck not. Yea, my kid is spoiled. He's all about Bumblebee anyhow!

Bought this for my 3 1/2 year old for Christmas and he really likes it. He isn't able to transform it yet on his own so do not buy it for a child under 8 unless you enjoy doing the transforming! It is sturdy and amazingly detailed though. Very impressive engineering! Well worth the money.

The minute my son got this, he wanted me to put it together. Very easy to assemble and disassemble. Less than 10 minutes. Track is durable and flexable. My son has almost every car and just about all of them work on this. That's the best part. He would get bored if he had to use the same few cars every time. The boost works great, I couldn't believe how fast it whips the cars around the track. Hint - use the risers it comes with on the first curve. They really do help. So far we have found Leakless to be the best. He will go around 50 times without wrecking. We have used this for at least 3 hours nonstop, so far, and the 4 D cell batteries are still good.

My 6 1/2 year old son had the super articulated spiderman 2 with the magnets on his hands and feet. But unfortunately, his sister ruined it. He had forgotten about it until he played at a friend's house recently, and he had the spiderman 2 with magnets on his feet and hands(this spiderman came with the "spiral tower"). Well, I tried looking for it at stores and on-line and no one had it. All the toys stores had spiderman 3 toys out. And I was able to get the super articulated spiderman 3 without the magnets on feet and hands. I bought tiny mighties magnets and super glued them on spiderman. He was HAPPY! Lots of imaginative play. Although, it is not as well made as the other spiderman 2 (the head and abdomen aren't quite as articulated).

Something stinks. Why does Hasbro have the Spidey 3 license? Toy Biz has handled the Spidey movie toys since the first film and they've made fantastic figures. Now Hasbro somehow got their awful mitts on it and have churned out these TERRIBLE figures. This "super-articulated" Spidey is nowhere near as articulated as its Spidey 1 and 2 predecessors. It lacks joints all over the place and is an inch and a half smaller than the previous movie figures. Don't waste your money on any of these Spidey 3 figures. Hopefully someone will make better figures than these.

What would I have wanted to know before purchasing this?

Well, I bought this item from another website but it's the same product being sold on Amazon at a lower rate. I would like to have known how vivid the colors were beforehand.

When you open the box it's this big figurine with very solid construction. It's sturdy and feels durable but two things kind of bugged me with the figurine. The colors aren't very bright. It's very toned down. The red is more of a dark maroon and the gold is dimmed down as well. I didn't like how that was. I was expecting more of a bright red and bright gold color just like in the movie. The other thing that was annoying was the light effects. It is cool when lighted up, but because of the way the figurine was sculpted one of the hands is facing towards the body so the light effect on that hand is muted and barely seen.

Overall, I think it's a decent figurine but not what I was really expecting for the price I paid. When you spend close to 200$ for something you expect to be happy and enjoy it but I was not completely pleased with it, just content. It's a nice thing to have if you are a fan but not really worth the money even at it's current price, I think.

Tiger Force was one of the most popular teams for G.I Joe in 1988-1990 Many bought these figures due to their color themes. 25th Anniversary is not much different, with Tigerforce Duke, Flint and the classic Cobra captured Rattler with paint scheme transforming it into the Tiger Rat(short for Rattler) . I used to have Flint when I was a young boy. He along with Bazooka were amoung two of my favorites of the line. When I had the chance to get this one, It was not to play with, but to enjoy an old memory. Hasbro has done fairly well, staying true to the original Characters and some of the items for the G.I. Joe loyalist. Now if they would only make more characters that were part of the original Tiger Force.. Bazooka would be a plus, as would Recondo and the TigerFly. Skystriker( The real Rat pilot) would also be welcome with open arms to the team, so he could reclaim his seat with the Rat! Overall Tigerforce Flint is a great choice for anyone who Likes G.I. Joe!

This Flint is pretty awesome, I couldn't get ahold of, or rather afford, the first Flint that was released. He is a basic trooper with a green spaz shotgun,and a green 1911. pistol. Overall, this figure looks cool and holds together fairly well. I would recommend this for any fans of Gi Joe!

I bought the entire Curse of the Wererabbit set for my 4 year old grandson and had to get a set for myself. All of my friends who are fans of the series love these "toys". They are not sturdy toys by any means, but the characters are a fun rubbery kind of material that my grandson loves and stand up fairly well to play. The accesories are VERY cool, also. "Be very careful with his arms!" 2009-01-03

It's a beautiful figure; extremely detailed (all his tiny buckles and zippers are even painted). He comes with interchangeable hands, so you can pose him with his sword, as well as a black stand. His clothing is probably the best part, as it is really accurate to the film with even wrinkled detailing on his pants.

There is only one negative aspect of this figure that is contrary to what other reviewers have said: he is fragile.

The sword is very flimsy and should be handled with care. But the worst part is his arms. They, upon appearance, seem like they bend at the elbow, THEY DON'T. I am always very careful with my figures, to the point that people laugh at how delicately I treat them...yet his arm snapped off. Not at the shoulder; this was a clean break in the plastic at the elbow. I just got him, and trying to move his arm (which seemed posable), I broke it off with hardly any pressure. Fortunately a little super glue and it can't be seen at all. But for a few minutes there, I was quite devastated. Just don't mess with him too much and he should be alright.

I don't know if it was just mine, but anyway, something to keep in mind. He probably wouldn't be a good gift for a child if an adult can accidentally break him when trying to be gentle....

I still gave the product five stars, because it is so well done. It's difficult to find action figures that really stand up to the characters they were made after, and this one does.

I already owned Kadaj...and he is truely a wonderful model to display and photograph. He has a great deal of durability and such wonderful details that just couldn't be left alone. He makes an ideal gift for friends and family who are big fans of Final Fantasy VII who may own some other models from the series, and since he poses so well there is little to say against giving him to model lovers too.

When I received this package, however, the box inside was slightly damaged. The model inside is intact and no parts are dislodged. The items was well priced and the postage cost was reasonable, although protecting the product could have been better.

I bought this on Amazon as a Christmas gift for my son. This action playset is a little bit more consuming to put together than other similar playsets, as it took a couple hours with the instructions included. I like that you get all (4) of the key characters in Spiderman 3 movie too. One flaw that stands out with this is the crane detaches easy so it's hard for children to play without the crane falling off several times. So one way to fix this is to super-glu the cranes' base to the top of the tower it sits on. It still turns left/right and operates fine, it just doesn't fall off anymore. Other than that, this is a very durable set.

This was my second transformer ever. What made me get him is the fact that I was intrigued by how any vehicle seemed to have a robot mode that looked cool, even a generic car. His transformation shouldn't be that hard. Once you get the hang of it, you can transform him in less than 6 sec (my record).

This guy has a really good robot mode; no really large vehicle kibble except for the roof backpack.

This has to be one of my all time favorite deluxe classes. It's just so simple to Transform, yet it is detailed, flexible, posable, and has a sweet paint job! It's vehicle mode is very smooth and sleek, and it is probably the most durable Transformer I have ever owned. It has an awesome chest cannon, and that eye for a head is so dang cool!

This is a great Transformer for young and old fans of the toy line alike.

OK so the common complaints on these toys are that Transformers are sometimes a little difficult to manipulate, they are not exactly like the cartoon and yeah occasionally a piece pops off that only dad can manage to get back on. BUT, when I compare that to the countless hours my son spends playing with them indoors and out, setting up battles, joining them in with his Hot Wheels,Lego Blocks and Lional Trains, providing dialogue as he directs the action, THEY OFFER tremendous play value. Since he got them at Christmas, his video game consoles (including his Wii), have taken a BIG back seat to the kind of play I think is far more valuable. As for the exact likeness, my kid loves the cartoon and has no problem with the toys not being EXACTLY like those on the show.

I ordered this for my 3-year old, since he likes these kinds of toys. I didn't realize how complicated these are to transform (I still haven't figured it out, need to read the directions). The first thing that happened is the car doors popped off - maybe they are supposed to, I don't know. I'm sure a child who is a little older could figure it out in about a minute, but not good for the younger ones.

Okay, so for starters, I'm a huge Indy fan. I have waited a long time for an Indiana Jones action figure line with decent quality and many characters, and since I've collected Star Wars figures forever, I actually wanted them to be this 3 3/4 size too (granted, I prefer my other collectible figures to be 6 inches or so, but I don't usually get accessories or playsets for those). Well, with the 4th Indy film, which is way underrated in my opinion (fellow longtime fans should give it a second viewing before deciding yea or nay; I had to warm up to it myself but love it now), that long dreamed of action figure line finally arrived from Hasbro... to mixed reactions. I'm sure many complaints were about the small size of the figures compared to the now more popular 6 inch or larger action figures out there for adult collectors these days. And, let's face it, most Indy fans are adults who grew up with the original films. However, I think what put most people off of this new line is that many, MANY figures were released to stores with awful paint jobs. I mean TERRIBLE paint jobs, specifically in terms of the eyes. This was most noticeable in the Raiders figures, and Indiana more than anyone.

Now, in my case, I wanted to wait and make sure they made more figures, and I wanted to see if the price wouldn't go down a bit too. Figures are way overpriced these days. But, once I saw Last Crusade figures on the shelves (along with a price drop of a couple of bucks), I dived in. A few of those first figures I bought I have previously reviewed, and let me tell ya, those ones I selected had excellent face sculpts! Of course, with huge, cartoony eyes painted on some of the figures, it would sure be difficult to notice the sculpting underneath. So, combine those first bad impressions with the fact that young kids just don't seem to "get" Indy (yeah, it was the second biggest film this past year, but the toys sat on shelves till the figures hit 3 bucks recently, and they're still moving slowly with a few character exceptions), and you end up with the problem I'm having now. I have wanted a Short Round figure to stand next to my Indy figure forever (a desire carried over from my original Kenner Indy figure), and it seems those Temple figures are only going to be available online now, for those of us in the states, at outrageous scalper prices since the first couple of rounds of figures sold so poorly. And to add insult to injury, the Elsa and Colonel Vogel figures have been in extremely short supply since day one. Man, I want an Elsa!

Anyways, as I searched fruitlessly for Elsa and the Temple figures this weekend at the big U.S. retailer who recently cut the price on these figures down to clearance levels, I did increase my total collection count to 14 (hope to add more before they're gone, too), as my second main focus was on Raiders of the Lost Ark figures, which I'd bought none of yet. I ended up with a nice number of Raiders characters, including an Indy with a good paint job and a decent Marion also, plus the figure I'm going to talk about here, the Cairo Swordsman.

You may remember this guy from the famous scene in which Indy responds to flashy swordsmanship with a well placed bullet. If you managed to get the jacketless, sweaty Indy figure (I still need that one myself, he's become one of the tough ones to find), set him up with the Cairo Swordsman for a great display! As I mentioned before, these figures have great detail, but you definitely have to check out the paint jobs and find a good one. The same figure can look amazing or awful depending on how the face is painted. The Cairo Swordsman is not as articulated as some of the figures. He can still be posed well, but with the stiff plastic of his robe, there was little point in making his knees bend, so they simply don't, nor do his ankles. He is also rather shy in the accessories department, as he only comes with his sword and secret artifact. Each figure comes with a different artifact in a paper crate, though they seem to be sized for 6 inch action figures like the one the Disney theme parks recently started carrying.

Regardless, the Cairo Swordsman is a great Indy villain figure to add to your collection. He's not a major character, but he's from one of the most memorable scenes and is really nicely sculpted here. A good choice for play or display as opposition to the greatest movie hero of all time!

This is a cool toy. I do have to say however that on the actual arms or tentacles those little fingers or claws well they all pop off and you have to keep track of them and search for all of them. Not really fun because they are tiny. That would be my only complaint really. I wish they would have come up with a better way to keep all those things attached because they're not supposed to come off at all, but they are supposed to move. Oh well. Cool toy overall.

This was a fun toy. He looks just like the villain from the movie.

That said, the big problem I had with this toy is his durability. His octopus arms are not sturdy and 2 of them are broken on mine. He does not stand up to simulated battle with the other toys.

My son likes to act out the parts from the movie and Dr. Octopus is just not up for this.

If he is going on a shelf, the articulation is impressive, the design cool.

If you plan on playing with him, you might want to be careful.

I whole-heartedly agree with the other reviewer about the bottom claws. At first we thought we were putting the same one back on over and over. Then we realized they were all falling off. It's fine for our 3-year old who just likes having the action figure, but we did have to permanently remove the bottom claws to keep our 1-year-old from choking on them. We attempted to fix the bottom claws but could not get them to stay on.

I bought this because I collect Yodas and this one seemed unique. It's cute and durable. It can hold the light saber in either hand and the arms and head are articulated. This lil' action figure is the spitting image of my old high school art teacher, Mrs. Leona Goober-Hackenschmidt. Even the sweat socks with sandals are accurate. And they captured her hormonal imbalances quite fetchingly. Her beard never shone quite so whitely.

Alas poor woman, she eventually became Leo Goober-Hackenschmidt. Nothing wrong with that in itself, but sadly for her nobody noticed(except probably Mr. Goober-Hackenschmidt).

Painter, inventor, scientist, forward-thinker, architect...Leo did all and very well! I love the concept of historical action figures, especially since young people today love figures so much. What also makes this product great is the information on the packaging, which contains an excellent collection of Da Vinci facts and deeds. Especially helpful is a list of his famous paintings, inventions, and quotes.

I showed this item to a college Humanities class when were were studying key figures in Human History, and the class loved it! Everyone wanted to get his / her hands on the Da Vinci action figure and his accessories. The figure was indeed a class hit that will be remembered for years to come. History is more meaningful when you can hold it in your hands and examine it yourself!

I bought this toy, and the matching Mach 5, for my young sons. Personally, even though I am an old-time Speed Racer fan the toys didn't appeal to me - until the kids opened them and played with them.

This Racer X car (the Shooting Star) is really nicely made. It feels good and solid in your hand and has a very neat gimmick where the rear half of the car splits in two a gun/missile launcher (under the engine) pops up and the real slides back together.

The Racer X figure is out of scale - and thats part of what makes this such a magically retro toy. Remember all those great car toys you had that had an inexplicably goofy driver permanently attached. You loved it and always wished the driver could come out so you could play with it - well, thats kinda what we have here. A driver that kinda looks goofy - but wonderfully so - when placed in the car. Without the driver, the car is great looking and slick. With the driver the whole toy feels like it could have been made in 1970 - and thats a good thing from my perspective.

Highly recommended.

"Odd looking, but great for an Indy fight" 2008-06-09

I got this at Target because it was either him or Mutt (and I didn't enjoy the crystal skull) and I knew I would need some one for my Indy to fight. His head looks very weird (eventually you get over it) but this figure has better articulation than Indy. His accessories are great(aside from the hat) the guns he has are an mp-40 and a pistol of which I don't know. The mp-40 has an folding stock and both can have there clips removed. The costume does a good job (considering everything Nazi is taken out of the toys) and even has a "Deutschland" (which is German for Gemany) armband. This is much more fun than having Indy fight the Cairo swordsman (you could find Nazis anywhere in WWII so they could fight on any terrain.) THIS IS AN OFFICER IN THE WEHRMACHT (The German army of WWII), NOT AN OFFICER OF THE SS (the secret police)!

I bought mine at ToysRus for only $69 which is overpriced. This item should cost no more than $40. It is very heavy and durable. The head is attached with a nice magnet and allows for 360 degree swivel that is nice and tight. It is not for everyone and not something to be played with. the figures pose is fixed to the stand and is meant for display. It is for a nutty SW fan and LEGO fan like myself. My so will like it too, but just for display. Other than the price it is a great item. I hope they make a Darth Vader soon.

a lot of people have commented on the lack of muscle on venom..i agree venom is HUGE etc..but for the movie they wanted to go with a realistic look for venom..which is understandable. if you want the best "actual" venom try to find the marvel icons venom...that sucker is huge..

Transformers Movie Leader Optimus Prime is available separately, so I won't review it here. This version adds two small toys. They are not as trivial as they look, but the novelty will wear off pretty quickly. Compared to the main toy, they are so far removed that they don't add much to the picture.

Since prices fluctuate, I was able to get this for less than the Transformers Movie Leader Optimus Prime alone. If it's close in price, you might as well get this. If you are an adult collector, you don't need my advice. If you are getting it for a child, the real fun is in the Optimus Prime, so I would not suggest paying much of a premium for this set.

Not as much fun as the other Transformers' line that speak or have more sounds. I gave this to my 4yr old son, along with an Ultimate Bumblebee bundle. He preferred the BumbleBee as it does all the sounds, etc. This poor Optimus Prime has been sadly sidelined. But the quality of the product is robust and I especially liked the bundled smaller toys in the package. The product was heavily overpriced, but I guess that's the price I have to pay for shopping too late into the Christmas season! :-)

Ante todo este comentario va dirigido a toda la comunidad de habla hispana, este transformers me parece excelente, pero como dice mi enunciado, mas que un juguete es un objeto de colección, en realidad vale la pena amigos admiradores de los transformers, adquirirlo, que al igual que yo habrán seguido de cerca esta serie hasta la reciente pelicula de cine. Al principio es algo complejo transformarlo pero luego es muy sencillo, es cosa de práctica.

En modo robot tiene cerca de 23 cm y en modo camión 28 cm de largo, los colores idénticos a los de optimus de la pelicula. El bonus me parece bien solo que esas figuritas de Movie Legend son muy básicas, pero claro esta se debe a su diminuto tamaño (cerca de 7 cm en modo robot y 6 en modo vehículo); al final lo que cuenta es la figura de Optimus que le doy 5 estrellas!!

OK, let's get this straight right away. I'm not a fanboy and I didn't go to see '300' to watch the battles, or because it looks like Frank Miller's novel, or because it was awash in blood, or because it was a ground-breaking film technically. I was in that theater for one reason, and one reason only: GERARD BUTLER!! Gerry Butler is not only the finest actor working now, and one of the very best who has EVER graced stage or screen, he is also the hottest man on the planet. I'll sit for two hours and watch Gerry read the phone book if it comes to that. This action figure is quite likely to be the closest I ever come to him, but hey, what's a red-blooded woman to do when she has the opportunity to grab her favorite hunk? She grabs him, that's what! Even if it is a vicarious thrill, Gerry's now happily situated in my bedroom. Which of course is where he should be.

Buy this if you liked the film, but especially if you actually KNOW the names of the actors and aren't just mindlessly admiring the SFX. The figure is beautifully rendered and actually looks like GB. There was a lot more to '300' than just the blood and gore, but the fanboys missed it, as did the (male) reviewers. It was another tremendous performance from the man who should be at the top of the A-list by now. So, while I watch him climb, I can have a reminder of his talent (as if I needed one) in the form of the magnificent King Leonidas.

Jack and Ennis would have loved "300" ("Think they was queer?" "Don't know." "Well, I ain't queer." "Me, neither."), and this toy would have been the perfect souvenir.

Not only is this a beautifully designed figure, but the paintwork is magnificent -- it looks as if the painter really cared about the quality of work they were doing, which is saying a lot for a product from a Chinese sweatshop. It's of significantly better quality than I expected; I don't think you'll be disappointed. The price is more than reasonable.

I really enjoyed Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull despite mixed reactions and reviews. Some scenes doesn't make sense and random monkeys and gophers. The Russians are portrayed very differently in this movie. They don't have their famous march and tanks.

The Soviet Jungle Cutter is made very well. It is highly detailed and the durable. The plastic is non-toxic which is good. The look of the vehicle is entirely accurate to the new Indy movie. The color is dark green to camouflage within the Amazon jungle of Peru. The Jungle Cutter seems indestructible as it destroys every tree and foliage in its path. It was destroyed by Indiana Jones with a RPG at a nice target area.

I knew these were shot glasses before I ordered them but I was expecting there to be 4. The picture showes the front and the back of 2 glasses but they must have edited the picture so the designes on the opposite sides did not show thru. This makes it seem like there were 4 glasses. It will take you awhile to get his transformation to work correctly, but once you do it's pretty fun. Just make sure you tab his treads and be careful with his spring loaded gimmick and your good to go. Also be careful turning his turret during transformation, I have known some to snap, but only if your too rough with him. His electronics sound great and I have owned him for awhile now and he's still as loud as ever. I would heartily recommend him to any Transformer fan. He makes a great addition to any Decepticon Army!

When I got this product I was so excited to get it and use it. After the hour it took me to transform it, it was okay even though I never got to fully have it perfectly done. The final plate that is moved when turning it into a tank was blocked by something I don't know what. Also, the main cannon stopped lighting up after a week. Eventually the sound stopped working even though I hardly make do the sounds. I'm also disappointed that the main turning turret would not stay up or completely lock in place in robot mode. In all I do not think I would get it again, especially not for $40! Do not get this, it's got too many problems.

I avoided buying Leader Brawl for a long time, thinking it was just a large version of the Deluxe toy with a bunch of gimmicks added. However, I ended up being really surprised. It's like the difference between a sketch and a finished artwork. I actually ended up liking him better than Leader Optimus Prime. Big Brawl has a brilliant design and a fun (if _very_ challenging) transformation; not for novices or little kids! He's got about eight automorph gimmicks and they all work well. Except sometimes his main gun barrel doesn't make explodey sounds when you tap it in tank mode like it should, so you have to go back a step and make sure everything's alligned correctly inside the turret. As far as durability, I wouldn't throw him down the stairs, but he's reasonably solid. Don't be rough with him and there should be no problems. I gave him two stars for educational value because he's modeled after a real tank.

PROS: Eyes light up well when held up to a lamp. Front fender retraction gimmick is nifty. Both arm weapons are clever. Looks _excellent_ in both modes. Nice head sculpt. FUN!!!

CONS: Takes a while to transform and not exactly easy. The noises get a bit annoying after a while. Small gun turrets fall off a lot, but are designed to (to prevent stress breakage) and snap back on equally easy. Instructions, as usual with Hasbro, are not 100% accurate (and neither are the photos on the box!)

If you like the other Movie toys, definitely try to get Leader Brawl. And if you wait a month or so, Hasbro's coming out with a very nice-looking repaint in sandy desert colors with translucent blue. Sweet.

His articulation is decent, but it's not hard to put him in his movie pose, arm extended as he fires round after round... if you loved Brawl's menacing presence in the film, this is the toy for you. Ignore the mis-Transformed pictures that are often shown, his head isn't visible in tank mode.

I ordered this set a few days ago, after searching for the Shaun of The Dead DVD. I love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and happned to have 30 bucks, so I ordered it. It got here about an hour ago, and it has to be the best toy I've ordered in a very long time.

First off:The detail, right away, is incredible. I opened up the box, and after dealing with an annoying amount of twist ties, got it out and assembled it. There are two figures that come with this set: Shaun and Ed.

Shaun has a Winchester Rifle, while Ed has a shovel and PS2 controller. An extra hand is included for Ed so he can hold the shovel like in the picture(the handle of the shovel comes off, so you can slide it into his hand). A Molotov Cocktail also comes with the pair, but no one can hold it(I suppose you could get Ed to hold it) The characters themselves are spot on to the movie. Shaun has his tie wrapped around his head, Rambo style, Ed's shirt is exactly like the one from the movie, and the blood splatters on both are meticulously painted to match the actors. Both figures are very durable and feel like they're going to last a very long time. When I was putting Shaun's rifle into his hand, the forearm popped off, but I popped it right back in and it works fine. Really, there's nothing wrong with the toy:Ed's hand is a little hard to switch, but I guess that ensures that it doesn't become loose in the future. Overall, this set gets 5 stars, but I'd give it 50 if I could.

At 140 points, the Einar Imperium are currently Heroscape's most expensive squad. They use Double Attack (yes, that's six attacks total!) to threaten nearly any unit in the game, but with 3 defense and no protective powers beyond Stealth Flying, their survival skills are very disappointing. Fortunately, their double attack allows them to squeeze more dice than usual out of any attack enhancements, and they are led by Wave 6's Empress Kiova, a kyrie hero whose only function in the game is to help their defense. As soldiers, they can also benefit from the excellent boosts of General Marcus. With light-looking equipment and large, realistic wings, they are the kyrie who gave the most convincing impression of actually being fliers.

The Tagawa Samurai Archers struggle offensively with 6 range and 2 attack, but they take Counter Strike-- a power previously reserved only for uniques and almost entirely for melee units-- to a new level. This expandable common squad can advance to screen more valuable units, open fire on the way in, and then close with the enemy and threaten to Counter Strike with a defense of 3. And two squads of them are still cheaper than one unit of Einar Imperium!

The manufacturer of this statue has evidently used the face of Heath Ledger made up as the Joker in all their ads and cover or box art; however, the face on the statue bears little resemblance to Heath Ledger! It seems to be a cross between the Dark Knight's Joker and the elongated face of the Joker from the comic books. Using photographic images made up to look like a statue to pre-sell it would appear to be an act of Fraud especially when the manufacturer continues to use the bogus artwork on the box. I'm wondering if we can start a class-action lawsuit for Fraud!

I normally do not buy statues. I'm just not that guy. Been reading and collecting comics for years. Hell, I put out my own comic book. I really don't consider this a toy, mainly because its A) not very fun to PLAY with and B) its too expensive to be "played" with. (I bought mine at a comic shop for $155 after having my eye on it for a few months.) I didn't buy it as an investment, but it was the only one I could justify buying for myself. I've always been a huge fan of Batman, more particularly the Joker (although I'm not fond of Jack Nicholson's portrayal of him) and I especially enjoyed Ledger's performance (RIP). In short, if your a fan of the Joker AND the Dark Knight and you happen to run across this, buy it if you can spare, it's not a bad piece.

I got my Joker statue the other day, and I must say I'm pretty pleased with it. Overall the quality is decent, the base is sturdy and paint job is well done. Except for the eyes. It's always hard to tell how the face looks in pictures so small, but the right eye on my statue is a little off centered, making him look cross-eyed. You can only tell if you hold it up close, but it's still a little frustrating to have that small problem on an item that costs so much.

Overall though I am pleased with my purchase. And it looks good on the book case. It also creeps out the wife, which is always good...

I had high expectations for this statue but I was disappointed when seeing the final product. The face on the statue does not resemble the one seen in the promotional image. The face is elongated, and the paint was poorly done on the face. If you look on the DC Direct website (http://www.dccomics.com/dcdirect/?dcd=9619&lst=new&cat=STATUES), it reads, "Final product may differ from image shown", and they were exactly right. If you are able to touch up the paint on the face yourself then feel free to try but I just thought I would give everyone a heads up on this product.

My 9 year old nephew really wanted to go as Aang for Halloween and since his birthday is in October I decided to buy him the costume. Unfortunately I had a bit of trouble locating a costume in his size (I found out later this costume was in high demand this year). I ended up paying for the material and supplies needed to make him one at home, but I felt he was getting jipped so I decided to buy this toy as a prop for his costume, plus I figured he could use it after Halloween for fun. He loved it and it arrived in perfect time for Halloween. It gave his costume a more authentic look. The only complaint he had was that it wasn't as long as Aang's real staff, though I didn't expect it to be. Over all it is a great product.

This is one of the best made toys of it's type that I've seen in quite awhile. It is made for the 7 yr old's constant use and abuse. My Grandson (and I) are very pleased with it.

I looked all over for this for my 3 yr old. He and his 15 yr old brother love Avatar and we have not been able to find any of the toys in stores. Amazon had it at a great price. When it arrived my 15 yr old was just as excited to give it to his brother as the little one was to get it. The 3 yr old runs around with it pretending to fly and fight firebenders. The quality is great. I know another reviewer said her son had trouble opening and closing it but I think hers may have been broken because my 3 yr old had it figured out in minutes. THe wings are actually much sturdier than I expected. I think this is going to be a favorite toy for a long time

My son loves this toy. At first he was a little disappointed that the fans were not bigger, but they're sturdy and they open and close easily. He has lots of fun pretending to be the Avatar.

This toy was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. I remember him opening it and being very excited. Christmas Day it took me an hour to get it enough together so the parts weren't "popping" out. After my struggles, my son promptly took it apart and turned it back into Darth Vader. It has never seen it's Death Star shape since that day. Well, today he pulled it out and asked me to transform back into the Death Star. This thing really sucks. I tried to follow the worthless instructions to no avail. I have been working on it for about a half hour and finally said enough was enough. My son was watching me and trying to help but it just does not fit together well. Like some of the other reviewers have stated... the tolerances are just to TIGHT! Once you get one part in it's place, another pops off. Then you go back and put the popped off piece back in place another one pops off. It's a never ending cycle. As I'm writing this, my son is singing a new song he made up... "I hate this Death Star... lalalala". I think we will play a game with it and destroy it outside later by smashing it with a sledge hammer and then setting it on fire. What a waste of $$$$.

"Worthy Companion to Primus and Unicron" 2009-03-04

As mentioned in numerous other reviews, the Death Star transformation is not for the faint of heart. It requires perseverance, full engagement, and deft hand steadiness to execute. If the Primus and Unicron are rated Skill Level 4, this thing should be about a 6. It takes patience and practice to learn how to best approach it. That's why I rated it high in educational, "brain" value... The Darth Vader mode is cool - with noises and lights and trash talk, but the conformation is not comparable to Unicron or Primus. I'd put it third of the three as a robot, with Unicron the baddest, most capable. As a planet though, the Death Star is striking, and embodies the ultimate evolution of the sphericals. It even has retractable stand legs, unlike the Primus.

Sitting side-by-side, they make a nice ensemble. Of the three, I like the Primus best for play value - quick and easy and fun to transform and show off with. But this one can be fun if you are up for the challenge, or is cool as a noisy paperweight in whichever mode, if you aren't...

This toy is amazing, I had no idea it even existed until I was walking through the swap meet and saw it. First reaction, is that Darth Vader? Second look, is that a TRANSFORMER??? I picked it up, took it home and after about 5 minutes it was in full Death Star mode. I didn't even have instructions or a box or the Light Saber that came with it. Now that I know this exists, I am going to buy one new in box to add to my Star Wars collection.

Just got this for my son for Christmas. What a disaster. It took my husband at least 45 minutes to unbox and try transforming it into the death star. What a joke. It took him several attempts through the day to get it finally into the finished transformed position. The pieces kept unsnapping before he could move to the next step. Don't waste your money like we did. Will be trying to take it back tomorrow. Ours was also missing the cape.

This thing is crazy!! Spent a couple of hours just unboxing and trying to transform with and without directions. Pieces pop off while trying to transform...the directions are a joke...I could go on and on. My 7 yr old son finally said "put it back in the box and take it back!" Not recommended for anyone except collectors.
